Debra M. Pion

Debra M. Pion, age 62 of Colfax, died Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Debra M. Pion Memorial Fund and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com. The daughter of Hiram and Judith (Lester) Thomas, Deb was born on July 12, 1950, in Des Moines. Deb was a member of the Howard Street Christian Church. She loved bowling and was a member of the Jasper County Women's Bowling. Those left to honor her memory include her children, Jon Pion of Ft. Riley, Kansas and Jennifer Pion of Newton; four grandchildren, Hunter, Jordan, Tyron, and Tessa and a brother Doug (LaJean) Thomas of Colfax. Preceding her in death were her parents. [more]
