On Monday, June 23, 2025, Peggy Zabala passed away with her daughter, Valerie Rolph by her side.
Peggy Joann Moates was born on September 7, 1937 in Waurika, Oklahoma to Lena and Lovell Moates. While attending Salinas High School, Peggy met her husband, Victor Zabala at a dance her senior year. They were married on October 27, 1957 for 60 years before Victor's passing. They spent many of those years together on the golf course, traveling the world, and at their condo in Carmel Valley. As an only child, Peggy was an incredibly devoted daughter. Grandma Peggy was a world class shopper, collecting treasures from all over the world. She was an avid reader, visiting the library weekly, filling her bag with books she would quickly read and return in a week. She loved animals and had a soft spot in her heart for the many that blessed the family through the years. Peggy will always be remembered and treasured in the hearts of her loved ones.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Valerie Zabala Rolph and husband, Craig of Colorado, as well as her nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

The Holy Rosary, service and burial will be held on Thursday June 26, starting at 10:00am at the Los Banos Cemetery.
