ter completing Barber School, Ron started cutting hair in Campus Town--eventually buying and operating University Barber. After several years, Ron sold the business and tried his luck at selling cars!--only to return to the Barbering field and opening Cyclone Barber on Main Street, Ames. After 61 years of Barbering, Ron's health forced him to retire and enjoy his wife, Kay. During his life he was in the fraternity at Iowa State University; he and Kay were also active members of the Cyclone Club. Ron was involved with helping a number of kids get involved with showing sheep and horses for 4-H projects. Ron loved the farm life. Ron and Kay were active in church functions. And Kay, once being Ames High School Boy's Golf Coach, kept Ron active in both Men's League and Mixed League. Left to cherish Ron's memory are his sister, Bonny Bartlett-Turner-James, and her two daughters, Holly and Debbie, all from Mesquite, Texas; brother, Greg Bartlett, and his two sons, Evan (wife Kristi and daughters, Brielle and Kyla) and Wes (wife Angie and daughters, Tenley and Emma). A number of nieces and nephews starting with Vernon Meyer (Ailene, Paige and Jana), Justin Meyer (Erinn, Caidyn and Aspen), Kyle Bartlett (Jana, Landon and Blake), Kayla Habhab (Tyler, Ryleigh and Blayre), Stacy Wozniak (Steve, Brianna, Alex and Jonathan). Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Art and Vi, first wife Velma, second wife Kay, sister Connie, brother George, great-niece Corinne, great-nephew Mason, brother-in-law Bobby and brother-in-law Harlan.
