Nora June Green

Nora June Green of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 in Greenwood, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with funeral services commencing at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2019 in the Gothic Memorial Chapel at Crown Hill Cemetery. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Nora was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to June Carol (Lynch) Hagan and William Bernard Hagan on September 25, 1935. She married Marvin H. Donhardt on May 29, 1952 and they had five children before ending their 17 year marriage. On July 4, 1975 Nora married Charles W. Green and they shared 41 years of marriage until he preceded her in death in 2016. Nora went to the Indianapolis School of Nursing where she became an LPN. Later in her career she continued her education and became an RN. She worked at several medical facilities over the years including Community Hospital East, St. Francis Hospital and the office of Dr. Steven Segal. Nora loved sewing and quilting, as well as drawing. ldren for many years. Her artistic abilities came through when she and her husband renovated their century old home and it was one of the beautiful homes included in the Victorian Home Tour. In her later years she enjoyed collecting tea cups and accumulated quite an extensive collection. Nora was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Charles Green, her sister Catherine (Kitty) and her grandson Shaun Jeffries. Nora is survived by her five children; Joan (Jim) Donhardt Morrison, Debra Donhardt Ross, Marvin Phillip (Denise) Donhardt, Jennifer (Colin) Donhardt, Gretchen (Mike) Donhardt Jeffries and three siblings: Fredrick W. Wright, Frances I. Pinczewski, and Donna J. Mirabile. Nora had 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and many nieces and nephews
