Funeral Services for Mr. David Ross Oakley, age 79, of Livingston will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, July 14, 2019 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Caleb Sampson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. The family will welcome friends on Saturday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home. Mr. David Oakley passed from this life on Thursday, July 11, 2019 in the comfort of his home. He was born August 12, 1939 in Overton County to the late Willie & Lela Norrod Oakley. David was a graduate of Rickman High School and a member of the Allons Church of Christ. He enjoyed traveling, camping, boating skeet shooting, and listening to music. David loved going to church at Allons Church of Christ and talking with people on the phone. David leaves behind his sister, Diann Oakley Harvey & husband Roger of Livingston, TN; brothers, Billy Oakley & wife Brenda of Cookeville, TN, and Hughie Oakley & wife Cathy of Dry Hollow Community; several nieces and nephews and friends.
