me and begin their family in Bixby. Mike made a career as a trim carpenter. He and Tom were known in the construction business as the "Neasby Brothers". Both, self-taught carpenters, they learned the basics from their father. They mastered their skills and were very meticulous, paying attention to fine detail. This allowed them to work in some of the nicest homes in the Tulsa area. In fact, Debbie and the kids once visited a home they were working on and almost got lost because the home was so large! When not working, Mike could be found at a car show or participating in a fun run with his Corvette. He had a passion for his cars, having a total of four different Corvettes during his lifetime. Mike was a member of the Tulsa Vet Set Club (T.V.S.) and was elected by his peers to serve as Vice-President. Also, a huge fan of NASCAR, he made a few trips to the Texas Motor Speedway after which it would take eight hours just to get out of the parking lot to head home. He studied this sport and the drivers and became a huge fan of both Dale Jarrett and Kyle Busch. Mike appreciated supporting a good athletic department and was a fan of the OU Sooners. He liked attending the football games and kept up with the lady's softball team. (Mike was not an avid reader. In fact, he joked that the only book he ever read was The Bootleggers Boy by Barry Switzer). Most importantly, Mike was a family man. He always made time for his kids and grandkids, wanting to get together with them any chance he could. Part of the reason he enjoyed this time so much could be the fact that he liked being in charge as he wore the title of "Supervisor of Everything". The Easter holiday was one of his favorite times to gather with family as he delighted in watching the kids hunt eggs. In years past, Easter would also host the annual softball game where Mike and Tom coached against each other. You better believe there was a little bit or maybe a lot of cheating going on there! A great cook, Morgan teases "If it was good, dad cooked it." He eventually taught Debbie how to cook and told her, "You can't cook anything from the couch, Deb." Also, a lover of animals, Mike always had a family dog and would refer to himself as Daddy when talking to his beloved dogs. Mike passed away July 8, 2019 at the age of 67. He will certainly be missed by his family and friends.
