re he organized and conducted professional meetings for other physicians in his field, bringing together research findings and experts to discuss current diagnostic and treatment modalities. Dr Kirkley understood that the medical profession to which he was dedicated is critically challenged. More opportunities for young people to pursue medical careers are needed. To this end, he donated the necessary resources to send two young men to medical school, complete their residencies, and allow them to open practices in their chosen communities. William Kirkley was a longtime resident of Ft Lauderdale. He will be remembered for his many good works, and greatly missed by his family and friends. As he wished, there will be no service on his behalf. He will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
