Funeral Services for Mrs. Anna Elena Wilborn Maxwell, age 92, of Hilham will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, June 16, 2019 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. John Mabry will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hilham Cemetery. The family will welcome friends at Speck Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. Mrs. Elena passed from this life in the comfort of her home on Friday morning, June 14, 2019. She was born in the Willow Grove Community on Christmas Day, 1926 to the late Charlie Alan & Maggie Martin Wilborn. Elena was a 1944 graduate of Livingston Academy. Elena received her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1958, then her Masters Degree from Tennessee Tech in 1974. Elena was a retired Reading Teacher for Overton County Schools. She was a member of the Hilham Church of Christ. Elena loved flowers of all kinds, and took joy in them around her house. She also enjoyed reading, cooking, traveling, and being with her family.
