Alice C. Bryant

Alice C. Bryant, 83, of Montrose, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 5, 2019, at Montrose Health Center. Alice Carolyn Young Bryant was born on February, 28, 1936, to Carl R. and Elvira C. Zimmer Young. She was united in marriage to Edward R. Bryant on January 25, 1957, in Keokuk. He preceded her in death in January of 2005. Alice graduated from Keokuk Senior High school in 1954 and remained in Keokuk until around 1972. After that, she moved to the rural Montrose area until she became a resident of the Montrose Care Center. After graduating, she became a legal secretary and worked for Dickey, Smith & Kultala for 26 years until her retirement in 1998. Alice was a member of First Christian Church of Keokuk. She is survived by a son; Bradley C. (Denise) Bryant of Montrose, three grandchildren; Brooke (Ryan) Wagner of Ft. Madison, Bailie (Stacy) Wallingford of St. Louis, MO, and Kole Bryant and friend Tristan of Montrose, IA, a niece; Connie (Paul) Rumford of Camdenton, MO, and a nephew; David (CarinAnne) Strohmaier of California. A memorial service will follow visitation services at 3 pm, at First Christian Church, Keokuk. Alice will be laid to rest at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park.
