Dorothy Darlene (Jackson) Eckhoff, 90, of Latimer, Iowa, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019, at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton. She was born April 7, 1929, in Butler County, Iowa, to Edward and Clara (Wendt) Jackson.
Dorothy graduated from Hampton High School in 1947 and married Harold Eckhoff at the Immanuel Church of Christ in Latimer on November 3, 1949. She was a member of the First Reformed Church in Alexander.
Dorothy was a farmwife and volunteered at CAL Community School for many years. She enjoyed making quilts, knitting, sewing, baking and also enjoyed family gatherings. Dorothy was a member of the Latimer Park Society and several church and social groups over the years.
Dorothy is survived by her son Wayne (Jane) Eckhoff of Alexander; grandchildren Rebecca (Steve) Tiffany of Mukwonago, WI, Mark (Jennifer) Eckhoff of Latimer, Brian (Ashley) Eckhoff of Marion; six great-grandchildren and one step great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, son Darrell and daughter Marsha; siblings Donald (Elsie) Jackson, Lavon (Robert) Alfson, Evelyn (Vincent) Kramer and two nephews.[more]
