s son and business partner, Casey, who now owns and operates the family business. On October 14, 1978, Dave and Rochelle (Shelly) Helmers were united in marriage at the Ramsey Reformed Church in Titonka. They have two children. Casey (Kay) Harms of Bancroft and Christa (Steve) Latch of Manly. They have five grandchildren; Cole, Cody and Caden Harms and Piper and Steel Latch; one step-granddaughter, Emily Martin; and 2 step-great- grandchildren, Liam and Carter Martin. Dave enjoyed fishing, hunting, ice fishing, playing huckley buck cards, and spending time with friends and family, especially their grandchildren. He liked the outdoors and all that nature had to offer from bird watching to mowing lawn. He was well- known for his "wit and story- telling." He liked to reminisce about the olden days. Life was never dull when Dave was around! Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 40 years, Shelly, and their two children, Casey and Christa and families; 9 brothers and sisters, Jim and Kay Harms of Fort Dodge, Alvina Carlson of Algona, Betty and John Monaghan of Waverly, Andrew and Sylvia Harms of Pocahontas, Helen and Leroy Davis of Cedar Falls, Harris and Betty Harms of Burt, Garry and Ruth Davis of Waverly, Norman and Mary Carlson of Clarion, and Norma and Bob Ruhnke of Algona. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Bertha Helmers of Titonka; brother and sister-in-laws: Darryl and Susan Helmers of Knoxville, Deb and Mark Landheer of Buffalo Center, Sheryl and Doug Nelson of Britt, Lisa and Allen Dirksen of Titonka and Janet and Mike Perkins of Titonka; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents, Jesse and Alleda Harms; his father-in-law, Dale Helmers; and two brothers-in-law, Dick Jensvold and Phil Carlson; and twin sisters in infancy.
