Marlene was born in Seattle, Washington on December 20, 1931 to parents George and Mary Simicich.

She attended St. George and Holy Rosary Catholic Schools, married Richard Bowman at St. George Church in 1950, and had 6 sons, Kenneth, Richard, James, Timothy, Todd, and Brad. She has beautiful daughter-in-laws, granddaughters, grandsons, nieces and nephews. She is also blessed to have had a sister Louise and brother Gregory.

She was a member of the Teamsters Union since 1950 and was a Teamster Retiree member. She belonged to the Catholic YLI ladies club, bible study groups, and was an usher at her church. Her family was always at the top of her list, her parents, sister, brother, husband, sons, their wives, all her grandchildren, her two nieces and all her nephews.

She loved her flower and vegetable gardens, cutting the grass, having yard sales, and using her coupons. She also loved visiting the sick in hospitals, the retired nuns, and friends. In lieu of flowers you may contribute to your favorite church or charity.
