fishing. Daughter Liv was born in 1972. Dorrance attended North Dakota State and entered the management trainee program with J.C. Penney Company. During his journey with J.C. Penney Company, he had stops in Willmar (son Andrew was born in 1976), Rochester, Redfield (SD) and eventually Decorah (IA). He retired in 1998. Following retirement, he painted houses, delivered baby chicks and worked for the census bureau but most of his time was spent with family and friends. Dorrance will be remembered for his smile. His love for family and friends was genuine and he treated everyone around him with kindness and grace. He loved time with his grandkids, playing a round of golf, fishing, hunting and reading. Survivors include his wife, Janice Davick of Rochester, MN; son, Andrew (Shana) Davick of Byron, MN and daughter, Liv (Chris) Davick Olivere of Los Angeles, CA; two grandchildren, Brendan and Liliana; one brother, Duane (Paula) Davick of Hastings, MN, one sister Patricia Jensen of Stanley, ND and sister-in-law Carole Davick of Bellevue, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Selma, two brothers, Roger and Gordon "Boop" Davick and one sister, Shirley Lidstrom.
