Reno Alviris Land, 77, of Keokuk, passed away Monday night, February 11, 2019 at Unity Point-Keokuk.
Reno was born August 17, 1941, in Keokuk to George Robert and Betty Jean Hinkle Land.
After his service with the Army in Vietnam, Reno was employed with Steel Castings and Foote Mineral for several years. He was very active in the American Legion and served on many military honor guards for Veteran's funerals. For several years, he drove the Veterans Administration van back and forth to Iowa City for Veteran's appointments at the Veterans Administration Hospital. Reno was often considered a fixture at McDonald's in Keokuk where he could be found drinking coffee and visiting with folks.
Reno is survived by several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services for Reno will be Tuesday, February 19th, at 1:00 PM at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center, 917 Blondeau Street, Keokuk. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Keokuk, with full military rites.
Visitation services will be Tuesday, February 19th, prior to the service from 11 AM to 1PM at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center, 917 Blondeau Street, Keokuk.
