e loved to spend time with her family and to watch her grandkid's sporting events. Joan also enjoyed shopping, traveling, reading science fiction and mysteries, camping, and eating sweets and desserts. Joan was a very strong, sweet lady who never complained and will be greatly missed by her family. Those left to cherish her loving memory are her husband Larry Cupp of Polk City, IA; children Sheryl (Kelly) Beauvais of Ames, IA, Terry (Mike) Spencer of Altoona, IA, Chris (Dave) Mullins of Ankeny, IA, Jeff (Barb) Cupp of Waukee, IA, and Rob (Angela) Cupp of Polk City, IA; grandchildren Tyler (Rachel) Spencer, Kara (Matt) Grochala, Kaylee (Joe) Carroll, Aaron (Lena) Mullins, Kevin (Stefanie) Mullins, Ashley (Ben) Gipple, Alicia Cupp, Colby Cupp, Carson Cupp, and Carly Cupp; 9 great-grandchildren, of which 4 were born last summer; siblings Jack Miller, Shirley Hamann, and Karen Johnson; many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gail, son Cliff, and brother Jim Miller. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Polk City United Methodist Church.
