Thomas Edward Skinner, 70, passed away peacefully at his home the morning of Thursday, January 10, in Keokuk. Thomas was born December 18, 1948 in Ft. Madison to George Edward and Rosella Monks Skinner. He was united in marriage to Nellie Williams at St. Peters Catholic Church on December 30, 1968, she still resides in Keokuk. Thomas has lived in Keokuk most of his life. He worked sales in the turf industry for over 40 years. After retirement, he enjoyed working at Dominoes. Thomas enjoyed telling stories, had a passion for animals, and loved being with his family and grandchildren. Thomas is survived by his wife, Nellie, of Keokuk; 3 daughters, Leslie (Nathan) Erxleben of Keokuk, Lora (Andrew) Stevens of Colorado, and Lisa (Justin) Ward of Atkins, Iowa; 4 grandchildren, Emmy (10) and Libby (7) Ward, Drew (6) and Cora (2) Stevens; 1 brother, Jim (Barb) Skinner, 2 sisters, Roberta (Dwight) Nelson and Margaret Whitford. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 brothers, Paul, Bob and Ronnie Skinner.
