Stephen L. Harding

Stephen L. Harding, 80, of Brimfield, passed away at 6:44 p.m., on Friday, November 30, 2018, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on November 29, 1938, to Manford and Katherine (Zink) Harding, in Peoria. He married Eileen Wagner on October 18, 1959, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Brimfield. She survives. Also surviving are two children, Michael (Marcia) Harding of McKinney, TX, and Scott (Monica) Harding of Marine, IL; two brothers, Tom Harding and Wayne Harding; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Steve was employed for 35 years at Caterpillar Tractor Company. After Caterpillar, he worked 5 years as a consultant for NPK Manufacturing. Steve was raised on a farm and farmed throughout his adult life. He also served in the Air National Guard for 6 years. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Brimfield. A one hour visitation will be held an hour before the service, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the church. A two hour visitation will also be held the night before, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., on Friday, December 7, 2018, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood. A bu...[more]
