n's Club and Bethany United Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon. Bill was an avid sports enthusiast and loved to watch his kids and grandkids play in all of their various activities. He also loved watching the Iowa State Cyclones, the Chicago Cubs, Drake University, CMB, Baxter Bolts; playing cards, cribbage, bridge games, bowling; and in his younger years being a referee for youth baseball and basketball games. Bill had never met a stranger and loved to visit with old friends and meet new friends. Those left to cherish Bill's loving memory are the mother of his children and close friend Joanne VerHuel of Ankeny, IA; children Neal (Avis) Krueger of Urbandale, IA, Kent (Terri) Krueger of Ankeny, IA, and Alicia (Steven) Peterson of Baxter, IA; grandchildren Chris (Alyssa) Sundell, Jonathan Krueger, Jeffrey (Hillary) Krueger, John Mistretta, Justin Mistretta, Chuck (Mandy) Peterson, Wendy (Rusty) Miller, Zeah (Eric) DeBolt, Brittany Peterson; great-grandchildren Grant Sundell, Addilyn Larsen, Doug and Emily Peterson, Mackenzie Howey, Tatum and Bristol Miller, and Sutton Schwartz; many nieces and nephews; and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Dean and Edgar Krueger, sister Ruth Miller, and nephew Randy Krueger.
