s and Lois later moved to Dumont, where they made their home. They enjoyed traveling and occasionally attending horse shows in the area. Lois served as President of the Harlan Cemetery Association for many years along with Francis and Brian Harlan. Together they worked to keep Harlan Cemetery looking nice, making numerous improvements and overseeing and caring for the cemetery. She was also a member of the American Legion in Dumont. Lois lost Francis on May 5, 2001. Even though they didn't have any children, Lois enjoyed attending family events. She enjoyed reading; her favorite author being Zane Grey. Lois was also on a bowling league, made quilts; doing all the stitching herself and loved dancing. She leaves behind two stepsons, Rodney Stock (Pennsylvania) and Ronald Stock (Ohio), three step granddaughters, as well as 10 step great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents Georgia (Lumley) Harlan and Earl W. Harlan, Lula J. Harlan and Walter Harlan Sr., husband Francis, sister Lilah Vought, and two brothers Neil Harlan and Marvin Harlan.
