Randy Longcor

Randy Longcor, 61, of West Burlington, died October 7, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Born March 30, 1957 in Oelwein, Iowa he was the son of Oliver Bertrum and Bonnie Darlene (Savage) Longcor. He married Debbie Tapscott on November 8, 1978 in Burlington. Randy was the Branch Operations Manager for Univar USA for 38 years. The most important things in Randy's life were his family and friends. He loved watching and going to the movies with his grandchildren and enjoying popcorn. He loved grilling, dancing and singing karaoke. He was an amazing man, brother, husband, dad and grandpa. The Celebration of Life for Randy will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 12th at Lunning Chapel. A special friend of the family, Kathy Mashburn will be assisting with the service. Interment will be held in Carman Cemetery, Carman, Illinois. Visitation will be 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 11th at Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Merkel Cell Carcinoma Research.
