he Philadelphia Orchestra concerts. The richness of their lives was a direct result of her dedication to the health and well-being of her husband and children. Her calling toward caring for others led her to volunteer for Wheels Medical Transportation in Philadelphia. This became her passion that lasted for over 30 years, taking patients from their homes to the hospital and back. It was here that she used a lot of her nursing skills to bring care and comfort to others. She was recognized by the press and honored for her years of outstanding service. David always supported Barbara in her volunteer work. It was important to both of them to give back to the community. David and Barbara Loeb were a dynamic duo! Their dedication to helping others resulted in many philanthropic endeavors throughout the city of Philadelphia. Barbara leaves behind a brother, John Leslie Rodgers III (Charlotte) and her children Susan (Thomas), David (Michele) and Judith (Theodore). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Saturday, September 29th, 2018 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends may call from 9:45-11AM at St. Alphonsus Church, 1565 Temple Drive, Maple Glen, PA. Interment immediately following at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
