attending family get togethers. Her family was very close and she was always the organizer to help her Mother in all family events on the family farm and beyond. She always called or sent cards to make sure no one was forgotten on their birthdays, sickness, or bereavement until her stroke in 2014. If you went to her house for a visit, she would always have good food waiting. She was a great cook that always served a balanced meal with a dessert to follow. She loved flowers, flower arranging, and gardening. Elizabeth was a garden of many colors herself. She was a very creative thinker and creative supply collector. Her daughter remembers when she was young in the 1950's and 60's, when it was time for her Mother to have card club she would always try to find a special dessert. Elizabeth would get all dressed up in a dress with pearl necklace and earrings, have cloth tablecloths on the card tables with flowers, little cups with bridge mix and nuts, favors and place cards. She would be described as always strong for others and strong willed. She loved her children and friends. If you were having a crisis she's the one you would want on your side, but if you were wrong in her eyes she would definitely let you know. Elizabeth spent a month in North Carolina in 2016, at 86. She enjoyed helping her granddaughter unpack moving boxes and worked the whole day! Her son, Jonathan, remembers being told to turn his music down as to not disturb the neighbors. Elizabeth will always be remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
