Robert J. Williams, 70, of Marshalltown, IA, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018, at the VA Central Iowa Health Care System in Des Moines, IA. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at Anderson Funeral Homes, 405 West Main Street, Marshalltown. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 11, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services. Online condolences may be sent to www.andersonfhs.com Bob was born on August 5, 1947, to Kenneth and Mary Jane (Quigley) Williams in Marshalltown. He attended South Tama High School and graduated in 1965. Bob was united in marriage to Patricia Scofield on May 5, 1973, at the Montour Methodist Church in Montour, IA. They were blessed with two daughters, Jennie and Marie. In 1966, Bob was drafted into the United States Army and served as a radio operator during Vietnam. He attended Marshalltown Community College and the University of Northern Iowa. He worked in inventory control at Fisher Controls for 17 years before moving on to work with Williams Manufacturing and Central Engine Exchange in Tama, IA. some time. He enjoyed muscle cars, building model cars, and playing music. Bob is survived by his ex-wife, Patricia, of Le Grand, IA, his daughters Jennie (Brent) Williams Pahls of Sylvan Grove, KS, and Marie Williams of Pella, IA; his grandchildren Hannah, Mina, Kenneth, Jesse, Lorin, and Michael; and two brothers, John Thomas (Deborah) Williams of Montour and Richard (Colleen) Williams of Pella. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Jan Williams, of Marshalltown, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Mary Jane, and a brother, Billy Williams.
