Dr. E.K. Lowary

Dr. E. Keith Lowary ended his long and courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, April 14th surrounded by his loving family in his home in Stratford Iowa. Keith was a respected Family Practice Physician in Ames, Webster City and Stratford for 45 years until his retirement in 2007. He also served as County Coroner for 37 years. He was a life member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Keith was born in Stillwell, IL on August 26th, 1931. He enlisted in the Navy during the Korean War and graduated medical school from the University of Iowa. Keith is survived by his loving wife, Peg of 52 years, his children, Kathy Fuller (husband John, Zearing, IA), Kevin Lowary (wife Shelly, Grimes, IA) and Anne Gaskill (husband Bob, Edina, MN), Grandchildren, Mary Fuller, Phoebe Fuller, J.C. Fuller, Craig Lowary, Hannah Fuller, Luke Gaskill, Jacob Gaskill, Paige Lowary, Rachel Lowary, and Ellie Gaskill. He is also survived by sister Susie Parish and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 17th at 3:00 PM at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center, with a visitation on Friday, 16th at Calvary Methodist Church in Stratford at 5:00 to 8:00 PM.[more]
