before opening her own travel agency location in Emmetsburg called Worldwide Travel. She eventually ended up at the travel agency in Algona prior to retiring in 2005. Joyce's many loves included, golfing, bowling, attending bible study, gardening and flowers, coffee time and shopping with girlfriends, crocheting, reading, puzzles and the Minnesota Vikings. Her greatest love, however, was the love she had for her family, especially her grandchildren. Spoiling them was one of her favorite things to do. Joyce and Teddy enjoyed their time spent together as a couple and were rarely seen apart. They enjoyed weekend travels and delivering cars for Elbert Chevrolet. Joyce entered the Good Samaritan Center of Algona in March, 2015 and died Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Kossuth Regional Heath Center, Algona. She was 79. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Teddy; children, Arnold "Arnie" Wagner of Whittemore, Robin (Kent) Rode of Titonka, Cory Wagner of East Bethel, MN; grandchildren, Heidi (Chad) Lane of Kearney, MO, Devin (Stephanie) Rode of Adel, IA, Eric Stier of Coon Rapids, MN, Vanessa Stier of Ardon Hills, MN, Madison Wagner of Bemidji, MN; and brother, William (Diana) Rode of Spring Hill, KS. Preceding her in death are her parents and step-mother.
