Clara F. Hoy, age 100 of Colfax, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Mitchell Village Care Center. Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Colfax Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com The daughter of Bruce and Emma (Ulrich) Pike, Clara was born on March 28, 1917 in South Dakota. On September 10, 1934, she was united in marriage to Elmer L. Hoy in Newton. Those left to honor her memory include her two children, Lila Main and Connie (Marvin) Carlyle; 6 grandchildren: Robin (Patrick) Conley of Tabor, IA; Lorretta (Brett) Monteleone of Melcher-Dallas, IA; Jill (Tim) Nutter of Oskaloosa, IA; Terry Carlyle of Owatonna, MN; David (Christel) Hoy of Suffolk, VA; and Vivian Cottingham of Chesapeake, VA; 14 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Kitty Hoy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; a son, Lyle Hoy; a grandson, Mark Main; a brother, Carroll Pike and a son-in-law, Jack Main. [more]
