Debra Lynn Michalski
April 28, 1959 - January 9, 2013

Debra L. Michalski, 53, of Moorland, passed away on Wednesday January 9, 2013 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held on Monday January 14th at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Mark of Moorland, sons, Joey of Coralville; Jack (Taylor Mills) of Columbia, MO; mother, Bonnie Bass of Fort Dodge; sisters, Linda Palmer and her husband Bob of Fort Dodge; Kathy Marquart and her husband Greg of Boone; brothers, Kenny Bass and his wife Patrice of Fort Dodge; Lenny Bass and his wife Kathy of Joplin, MO; Mark Bass of Farnhamville; Jason Bass of Fort Dodge; sister-in-law, Marlene Bass of Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by father, Charles Bass and her brother, Clifford Bass.
Debra Lynn Bass was born April 28, 1959 in Fort Dodge. She attended schools here and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1977. That same year she attended and graduated from La James College of Cosmetology. On August 12, 1977 she was united in marriage to Mark Michalski and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Deb worked at various salons and was the owner and operator of "Just Deb's Salon" for many years.
