Kenneth E. Clark

Kenneth Eugene Clark, one of two children of Leo Amos Clark and Nina Eva (Cheney) Clark, was born October 16, 1935 in Hastings, Iowa. He grew up in the Glenwood area and attended 4-Corner country school and Tabor High School.
Kenneth and Lois Marie Hardy were married on February 15, 1954 in Glenwood, Iowa. The first two years, they made their home on a farm south of Malvern, Iowa and the next two years on a farm east of Malvern. In 1958, they moved to their present home north of Tabor, Iowa. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Michael Eugene and Diane Kay. Kenneth served three years in Company I of the 168 Infantry of the Iowa National Guard based at Glenwood.
Kenneth farmed until the day of his heart attack on January 10, 2006. He also had various jobs when younger which included helping with the building of the Hillsdale Church. He ran the corn sheller for Raymond Waller and also worked many years operating the feed truck for Botna Valley Grain. He also helped with the construction of the natural gas pipeline near Malvern.
Kenneth was a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and son. He was always looking after the needs of his family and his mother. His passions were his family, his farming and his love for flying his ultra-lite.
Kenneth passed away at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha on May 6, 2006 after open-heart surgery on May 3rd. He had attained the age of 70 years, 6 months, and 20 days. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lois Clark; mother Nina Clark, son Michael Clark; daughter Diane Radford and companion Don L. Hopp; grandsons Ryan Radford and Kyle Radford, all of Glenwood, Iowa; sister Darlene Studey and husband Larry of Red Oak, Iowa; nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends.
