Dorothy K. Ehlinger, 71, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 4, 2011 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin with her loving husband and family by her side. She was born July 5, 1939 to the late John and Thresa (Miller) Loonsfoot in Baraga, Michigan.
Dorothy enjoyed her family and loved them all very much. She was a very kind, loving, very helpful and very caring to all. She enjoyed traveling, casinos, bingo, birds at her bird feeders and her cat, "Baby". Dorothy enjoyed making new friends and was liked and loved by all. She was very strong and fought very hard to the end. She will be sadly missed by her husband, all of her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Duane, who has been so wonderful to our mother for over 30 years; two daughters and one son, Colleen (Robert) Gagnea, Iron River, Michigan; Rhoda (James) Zhuckkahosee, Green Bay; and Jon (Debbie) Ehlinger; her grandchildren, Joe McGeshick, Catherine (Rafael) Delossantos, Wanda Knipp, Cheyenne (Putto) Knipp, Clarissa Knipp, Travis (Benny) Knipp, all of Green Bay and Vantashia, Preston, Gage and Piper Ehlinger, De Pere; her great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Deanna, Kendra, Natashia, Kayla, Savannah, Tashinia, Damion, Nicholas and Nathan, all of Green Bay; and one sister, Margaret McCart, Appleton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Nicholson and Rosemary Williams.
Friends may call after 9:30 AM Wednesday, March 9, at Lyndahl Funeral Home where the funeral service will take place at 11 am with Chaplain Robert Nooker officiating. Burial will be at Fort Howard Memorial Park.
