John J. Schricker

John J. Schricker, 61, Village of Howard, went home to his heavenly reward Sunday, August 24, 2008. He was born February 7, 1947, to the late Arthur and Catherine (Pagac) Schricker in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. John served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. On August 16, 1969, he married Sharon Bartels at St. Mark Ev. Lutheran Church in Green Bay. He was employed by Local 400 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union for 30 years. John was a member of St. Mark Ev. Lutheran Church, the American Legion Sullivan-Wallen Post No. 11. He spent his leisure time running, bicycling, cross country skiing, helping friends, woodworking and making toys for underprivileged children.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Sharon; one daughter and son-in-law, Cassandra and Jason Moeller, Abrams; two sons and one daughter-in-law, John Jack and Deanna Annie, Kiel; and Keith, De Pere; five grandchildren, Jason Michael and Catherine Moeller, Blaize Koon and Nicole and Amanda Schisel; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Donna Schricker, Appleton; and James and Jean Schricker, Fremont; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including some very special friends, Gary and Karen Kuchta.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 27, at Lyndahl Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue after 10:00 A.M. Thursday at St. Mark Ev. Lutheran Church, 2066 Lawrence Drive, De Pere, where the funeral service will take place at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Christopher Johnson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
