Agnes O. (Dantinne) Johansen, 99, New Franken, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at a local hospital. She was born December 27, 1908, to the late Phillip and Mary (Leurquin) Dantinne in Wausaukee, WI. She married George H. Johansen on July 27, 1928, in Green Bay.
Agnes came from a pioneer family, settling in the Wausaukee and Lena areas. She moved to Green Bay where she was a buyer and manager at The White Store. She enjoyed spending time at her summer home on Half Moon Lake, Crivitz. She was an avid traveler and loving and devoted mother known for her cooking and baking, especially her pecan pie and ice box cookies.
Survivors include her children, Douglas G. (Gay) Johansen, Tequesta, FL; Romaine (Eugene) Nolan, Green Bay; Phyllis Dahlin, Green Bay; Matthew (Emmy) Johansen, Green Bay; Craig (Doreen) Johansen, New Franken; twenty-two grandchildren and thirty-five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George, her daughter, Betty Lenss, sister, Loretta Habeck, two grandsons, Doug Nolan and Tom Dahlin, and son-in-law, Henry Dahlin.
Friends may call after 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 31, at Annunciation Church, 401 Gray St, where a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Everts officiating.
