Edward Hohne

Edward W. Hohne, 77, Green Bay, died unexpectedly Monday, January 15, 2007, at a local hospital. He was born December 4, 1929, to the late Edward and Libby (Blaha) Hohne in Kewaunee, Wisconsin. Ed served his country in the U. S. Army in the military police at Panama from 1948 to 1950. On August 23, 1951, he married Carol Hansen at Bethel Lutheran Church in Green Bay. Ed retired from American Can (now Georgia-Pacific) in 1984, after 28 years of employment. He was a member of the P & M Club and loved fishing, woodworking and polka music.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Carol; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Richard Gegare, Wrightstown; three sons and daughters-in-law, David and LeAnn Hohne, Sobieski; Mark and Connie Hohne, Oconto; and Tim and Chris Hohne, Green Bay; nine grandchildren, Amy, Jeff, Amanda, Megan, Kim, Joseph, James, Rachel (Chad) Saeger and Luke; one great-grandchild, Samantha Saeger; three sisters-in-law, Donna Hansen, Viola Hansen and Frieda Hansen; one brother-in-law, Don (Connie) Ashley; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Henry; three brothers-in-law, Raymond, Melvin and Evan Hansen; and one sister-in-law, Beulah Ashley.
Friends may call after 9:00 A.M. Thursday, January 18, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 1350 Bond Street, where the funeral service will take place at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Gary Froseth officiating. Entombment will be at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
