Arthur K. Nohr Jr., 81, Green Bay, died Saturday, Aug 26, 2006 at a local nursing home. He was born June 9, 1925 in Green Bay to the late Arthur K. Nohr, Sr. and Cecelia (Pieper) Nohr. He married Joyce Ness October 28, 1950 at Grace Lutheran Church. She preceded him in death January 7, 1993. He had been employed at Red Owl Warehouse for many years. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren, Packer games and an occasional gambling trip.
Survivors include his three children, Bruce and Colleen; Roger and Bonnie; Betty Lou and Lee Nohr-Schmit. Six grandchildren, Andre and fianc?' Tamara Alsteen and their son Logan; Diane (Scott) Fassbender; Scott Nohr; Stephanie, Samantha and Brett Nohr. Seven great grandchildren, Four step grandchildren; Two brothers, Don Nohr, Green Bay; Robert (Kathy) Nohr, Green Bay. Two sisters, Lorretta (George) Patton, DePere; Darlene Vanegeren, Oconto; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; one grandson Christopher; one brother Lonnie, and four sisters, Elaine, Nedice, Beatrice and Eunice.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Grancare Nursing Home for their outstanding care.
Friends may call from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave. Funeral Service will take place at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Froseth officiating. Burial will take place at Fort Howard Memorial Park.
