Kyle Peterson, 14, Green Bay, died Saturday evening, October 9, 2004 at a local hospital following a courageous battle against cancer. He was born on Nov. 20, 1989 in La Crosse and adopted by Neil and LeeAnn ?Kim? (Firgens) Peterson. He was confirmed at Pilgrim Lutheran Church on April 24, 2004 and graduated from 8th grade at Pilgrim Lutheran School in June. Kyle was a giving and kind-hearted young man. He always thought of others first. His interests included music and computers. He played both the piano and clarinet, and he dreamed of designing computer games some day. More recently, he hoped to have the opportunity to design hospital equipment in order to make patients more comfortable. Survivors include his parents: LeeAnn ?Kim? Peterson, Green Bay, and Neil Peterson (special friend, Marilyn Lammers), Greenbush, WI; maternal grandparents: Hilbert and Lorraine Firgens, Suring; paternal grandparents: LaVern and Shirley Peterson, Sheboygan; aunts, uncles and cousins: Jody (Flint) Cook and their daughters, Kira and Miranda; Christy (Dave) Firgens and their sons, Ben and Nathan; Dale (Cindy) Peterson and their sons, Dana, Corey, and Luke; and Jeff (Tami) Peterson and their children, Amanda and Adam; other relatives and friends. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2004, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, Lombardi Ave. at Ridge Rd., Green Bay. Visitation will continue after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1731 St. Agnes Dr., Green Bay, where funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Scott Malme officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Kyle's family would like to offer a heartfelt thanks to Mr. Jones and the rest of the faculty as well as the students of Pilgrim Lutheran School for the tremendous support that was given to him.
