Mary 'Anne" Igel
June 3, 1934 - December 20, 2025

Mary "Anne" (Litwiler) Igel, age 91, of Washington, passed into her eternal life in the evening on Saturday, December 20, 2025.
Anne was born on June 3, 1934 in Elkhart, Indiana to Reed L. and Helen (Williams) Litwiler. She was a 1952 graduate of Washington Catholic High School. She married Robert "Bob" Igel on October 29, 1955 at All Saints Catholic Church in Cannelburg and was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Anne found her greatest joy in time spent with family. She enjoyed bowling alongside her beloved husband and cherished playing bingo with her mother and sister. She happily passed down her love of chocolate, especially her famous fudge, to all her children and was especially known for hosting large family gatherings, where laughter, love and togetherness were always abundant.

Those left to mourn her memory are four sons; Kevin R (Clara) Igel of Evansville, David B (Vicki) Igel of Evansville, Andrew J. (Diana) Igel of Washington, Danny J (Tonya Strange) Igel of Lafayette; two daughters, Mary (Michael Cates) Igel of Greenwood, and Candy (Terry) Conolty; two brothers, Gene Litwiler of Cumberland, and Roy Litwiler of Washington; one sister Maggie Hamm of Washington; twenty grandchildren; and twenty five great grandchildren.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; two brothers, Danny Litwiler and David Liwiler; and one granddaughter.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Paul Ferguson as celebrant. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Ed L Lee Mortuary.
