November 15, 1988 - November 23, 2025
Peter Gene Hammersley, beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed away on November 23, 2025, at the age of 37. Born on November 15, 1988, in San Jose, California, Peter grew up surrounded by family and community, both of which he cherished deeply. His final resting place will be in Los BaƱos, California.
Peter was a bright, vibrant soul whose presence could light up any room. He had a remarkable way with words, an energy that drew people in, and an infectious smile that uplifted everyone around him. He connected effortlessly with others--through his humor, kindness, and genuine warmth. Smart, witty, funny, and delightfully goofy, Peter brought joy into every space he entered.
A man of many passions, Peter especially loved music. Rapping was his creative outlet, his truth, and a way he shared pieces of his heart with the world. He also loved rollerblading, embracing the freedom, movement, and fun it brought him. Peter was deeply loyal, caring, and loving--especially toward his family. He loved them wholeheartedly, and his devotion to them was felt in everything he did.
Peter is survived by his loving mother, Madelyn Hammersley, and his siblings Marielle, Jinky, Joan, Christian, Raymond, Philiph, and Joseph. He was a cherished uncle to his many nieces and nephews, who adored him deeply. His family, friends, and all who crossed paths with him mourn his loss while holding on tightly to the beautiful memories he leaves behind.
Though his time on earth was far too short, Peter Gene Hammersley lived a life filled with love, laughter, and connection. His light, his words, and his unforgettable smile will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
May he rest in peace.

"I met Peter (Edgewize) about 20 years ago! You had a gift with words that few ever touch ? a true wordsmith, a poet in every bar you wrote. Your voice, your writing, your presence? it all left a mark on everyone lucky enough to know you. Rest easy, brother Solis"
