Catherine Beryl (Lamb) Myers, 87, of Cornettsville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, October 31, 2025.
Beryl was born on May 3, 1938, in Washington, Indiana, to Louis James and Helen Francis (Stumpp) Lamb. She married Phillip Isaac Myers on July 24, 1960, and together, they shared a lifetime of farming, raising a large family and steadfast love. She graduated with the Class of 1956 from Washington Catholic High School and earned her Registered Nurse Certificate from St. Vincent Diploma School of Nursing and Hospital in Indianapolis.
Beryl was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Beryl's nursing career spanned her lifetime. She served as the school nurse for the North Daviess Community Schools for more than thirty-five years, as well as a charge nurse at a long-term care facility and a nurse at the Daviess Community Hospital. She touched countless lives with her kindness, patience, and genuine care, earning the respect and affection of peers, superiors, and students alike.
A member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, and previously of the Cornettsville United Methodist Church, Beryl's faith was central to her life. She enjoyed cooking, caring for others, and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and thrive - especially through their 4-H work. Her marriage and family were her greatest joy, and she cherished the laughter and companionship she shared with her Bunco and Dominoes friends over many joyful years.
Beryl is survived by her brother, Louis Lamb; her children: Debra Myers of Cornettsville, Denise (Wade) Held of Linton, Darla (Kent) Norris of Plainville, Dena (Brian ) Held of Freelandville, and Seth (Miranda) Myers of Plainville; brother-in-law, Louis Myers of Odon; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Her heart overflowed with love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were so dear to her:

Denise's children: Kayla Held, Benjamin (Raven) Held and Joshlyn (Derek) Allen and great-grandchildren: Josie, Riley, Hazel, Abiah and Uriah.
Darla's children: Kendra (Josh) Robinson and Kendal ((Chelsey) Norris, and great-grandchildren: Kalhoun, baby Robinson on the way, Aksel, Kohen, and Jett.
Dena's children: Wyant (Jocelyn) Held, Taylor (Clayton) Smith, and Rayne (Hunter) Roach, and great-grandchildren: Myers, baby Smith on the way, and baby Emberly Roach on the way.
Seth's children: Calvin, Lane, and Ty.
Through the past several years, caregivers for her health, and well-being became trusted friends, including Amber, Amy, Christine, Debra, Jackie, and Tara, among others.
Beryl was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Myers; two infant children: David Michael and Gail Ann; and her siblings, Leo Lamb, Irene Lamb, and Ilene Martin. Also preceding her in death were dear friends, Sarah and John Norman Miller, whose kindness and partnership were evident in the many farm chores they completed together, the care they gave to her children, and the compassion they extended.

"Family - Beryl Myers, please accept my condolences for the passing of Beryl.
I knew Beryl through her work at North Daviess.
She was a great school nurse and someone I enjoyed working with. Always willing to lend a helping hand. She would go above and beyond for the students and staff.
As a health educator, I used her many times in my classroom and she was always there to serve the students anyway she could!! We also attended seminars on health related topics back in the day!!
May she rest in peace. She will be missed."

"Dear Family - I have so many fond and good memories of Beryl throughout my life. I first met Beryl when I worked as an aide at the hospital, right out of high school. Then I had my first baby the year that Dena was born. When Berl was the nurse for ND she would give me my allergy shots. Ben and I attended Cornettsville Church with Beryl and her family; we had many years of friendship with her there, sharing our faith and fellowship. Beryl was so soft spoken when she cared for her patients and had a servant?s heart. I know her family and many friends will miss her so much. Ben and I send our love to Debra, Denise, Darla, Dena and Seth, and to Beryl?s extended family. God keep you and help you during this time. I am so glad to have known snd loved her. - Debbie Lawyer"
