Pietro "Peter" Frisa was born on April 28, 1943, in Pietreperzia, Sicily, to Franceso and Dominsca Frisa. He had 6 siblings, all brothers. Pietro immigrated to the United States at the age of 18, arriving at Ellis Island. He settled in New York, where he worked in construction for many years. After leaving New York, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he continued in construction. He later moved to Fountain Hills, Arizona, where he enjoyed his daily coffee and conversations with friends. It was here that he met the love of his life, Marilyn Delerio. He moved to California 11 years ago and became an active member of the 4 Seasons Community. He was old fashioned in his Sicilian ways with a love of gardening, especially his beloved fig trees, artichokes, grapes, tomatoes and zucchini.
He is survived by his partner of 24 years, Marilyn Delerio, brothers, Tony Frisa of Arizona, and Joseph Frisa of Sicily, daughter Danielle Saathoff and granddaughter, Tammy Saathoff, both from Arizona.
In lieu of flowers, donations be made to New Bethany or the American Cancer Society.
