It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn Erle Chapman Boyd, 84 years old of Los Banos, Ca. Wife of Weatherford "Bill" Manual Boyd Jr., mother of Rhonda Kaye Boyd, Kenneth Wayne Boyd, and Norman Lynn Boyd. Evelyn was born August 4th, 1940, in Gridley, Ca. She was loved by many and a pillar of strength to her family. She was known for her love of children through babysitting. She enjoyed playing UNO, Poker, and Phase 10 with her children and grandchildren. She always had an ice-cold Pepsi in her hand and made sure everyone visiting had one as well. Evelyn Erle Chapman Boyd leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Evelyn is survived by her husband Bill, having just celebrated 64 years of marriage. Children: Rhonda Boyd of Visalia, Ca., Kenneth Boyd of Los Banos, Ca., Norman Boyd of Los Banos, Ca. Her 8 Grandchildren: Katie Verdugo of Sacramento, Ca., Andrew Plath of Visalia, Ca., Emily Cree of Madera, Ca., Travis Boyd of Dos Palos, Ca., Joshua Boyd of Dos Palos, Ca., Kimberly Marchuk of Oregon., Michelle Boyd of Clovis, Ca., Wyatt Boyd of Kansas, in the United States Army and 9 Great Granddaughters.
A small family service will be held Friday, May 23rd at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, California. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Evelyn's name to the Wounded Warrior's Project.
