Daniel Richard Lewis
July 27, 1928 - December 20, 2024

Daniel Lewis, a beloved soul, was born on July 27, 1928, the son of Agostino & Amelia Lewis in Los Banos, CA. has passed at 96 years young. He met his life's love, Carmella Pricolo, and married her in 1949. They raised three wonderful children in Los Banos. Danny was a dedicated dairyman, tending his parent's dairy after they passed. Danny sold the dairy in 1949 and began working at the Dairymen's Association plant, processing milk and butter. Later he joined the Dairymen's Feed Store working alongside John Perriera, John Painter, Joe Cardoza and Samuel Perriera, retiring after a fulfilling 40-year career. Daniel will be remembered fondly and lovingly by his family and friends.
Active in his community, Daniel was a member of the D.E.S. and Los Banos Golden Agers. He dedicated many years helping at St. Joseph's Church, embodying a spirit of service.
Daniel was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carmella Lewis; his parents Agostino & Amelia Lewis; brothers Augie Lewis, Joe Lewis; sister Belmira Young and grandson Justin R. Wood A1C who was killed in a terrorist bombing of Khobar Towers, Saudi Arabia in 1996.
He leaves behind cherished memories with his children: Kathleen (Richard) Wood, Jacqueline (Michael) Prien, Anthony (Sandy) Lewis. His grandchildren; Shawn (Kristy) Wood, Joshua (Tawni) Prien, Audra (Braxton) Patterson, Danielle (Trey) Dutcher, and RheAnne Lewis. Great-grandchildren: Marissa and Justine Wood, Hailey and Houston Prien, Carson, Cambria, Cash and Claire Dutcher. Great-great-grandson: Jameson Scott Rainey. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 10 am on Friday, January 10, 2025, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1621 Center Ave., Los Banos. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 11:30 am, followed by the Funeral Mass at 12:00 pm. Burial at the Los Banos Cemetery will follow the Mass. Services are entrusted to Whitehurst Funeral Chapel-Los Banos.
