"So sorry for your loss, Philip and Charlene."
Gary Robert Bullock, born May 7, 1945, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on November 16, 2024. He was 79 years old. Born to Bob and Jeanette (Showalter) Bullock, Gary lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to others.
Gary was the devoted husband of sixty-one years to Phyllis (Haag) Bullock. Together, they built a strong foundation for their family, serving as role models for their children and grandchildren.
Possessing a strong work ethic, Gary retired after forty years in the drainage business. Thirty of those years were spent at Advanced Drainage Systems, where he was recognized for his numerous sales accomplishments. In 2015, Gary retired to enjoy his passions and spend time with his family. In his early years, Gary enjoyed bird hunting and wild game adventures, sharing those stories with each generation. He took great pleasure in supervising home improvement projects, not only for his own home, but also for his children, grandchildren and neighbors. Gary's love of fishing continued into his retirement years, he cherished the time on his boat fishing with his buddies and never missed an opportunity to support his grandchildren at their own sporting events. He also had a special place in his heart for his beloved cat, Kitty Baby.
Gary is survived by his wife, Phyllis, and their four children: Steve (Polly Porter) Bullock; Roger (Lynn Dant) Bullock; Karen (Doug) Bowman; and Kirsten (Brian) Emmons. He leaves a legacy of ten grandchildren: Zane (Amber) Bowman; Seth (Heather) Bowman; Kade (Madison) Bowman; Bryce (Anna) Bullock; Zack (Lauren) Bullock; Dakota Bullock (Bryan Shepard); Josh (Sarah) Bullock; Sam Emmons; Olivia Emmons; and Dylan Emmons. Gary was blessed with twelve great-grandchildren: Cohlsen, Deklan, Evvie, Briggs, Kolten, Stella, Jaxon, Alexavier, Ezequiel, Gaige, Sterling and Hunter. Gary leaves five siblings: Philip (Sylvia) Bullock; Charlene (Jim) Meyers; Nancy Gehl; Sharon (John Warner) McCord; and Donna (Dan) Watson. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Gary took immense pride in his family and their accomplishments. His love, guidance and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
During his lifetime, Gary mourned the passing of his parents, Jeanette and Bob Bullock; and his mother-and father-in-law, Alice and John Haag.
