Max Edward Benefiel, 52, passed away at his Washington residence during the evening hours of October 22, 2024. He was born in Bedford, August 22, 1972, the son of Philip, Jr. and Margaret (Althoff) Benefiel.
Max was a 1991 graduate of Union High School in Dugger. He was a manager at the Washington Wendy's. An avid outdoorsman, Max enjoyed camping and fishing.
Those left to cherish Max's memory include his twin sister, Lisa (George) Limbach of Washington; children: Edward Benefiel of Washington; Kiersten Benefiel of Loogootee; Daniel Benefiel of Petersburg; and James Harker of Washington. Max leaves grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
During his lifetime, Max mourned the loss of his parents, Margaret and Philip Benefiel, Jr.
A memorial service honoring the life of Max Benefiel will be held at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, Saturday, November 2, 2024, 4:00-6:00 pm. It will be held at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana.
