In loving memory of

William "Butch" White
January 26, 1940 - September 30, 2024

William "Butch" White, 84, passed away September 30, 2024. He was born in the Cumback area of Washington, Indiana, on January 26, 1940, the son of Austin and Beulah (Hand) White. On July, 16, 1983, he married Darlene (Carie) White and they made their home together for the next forty-one years.

Butch was a 1958 graduate of Washington High School. He went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He owned and operated White Pest Control and the White Construction Company. He was a skilled woodworker and often made gifts and items for friends and family. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening. Butch was a life-long member of the Free Methodist Church, having attended since birth.

Those who now cherish Butch's memory include his wife, Darlene White; children: Anita White (Lee Bennett); Beth (Fred) Milton; Bille White all of Washington; Bridget (Chris) Hosier of Pendelton; and Scott (Breanna) Fulton of O'Fallon, Illinois. Butch leaves nine grandchildren: Sierra Patterson; Bradley (Tisha) Milton; Maribeth (Chris) Seibert; Christian Andis; Emma Andis; Audrey (Layton Mitchell) Hosier; Addison Fulton; Ayana Fulton; and Aydan Fulton; and three great-grandchildren: Emelyn Milton; Carter Milton; and Becca Seibert. Butch leaves a brother, Fred (Brenda) White of Sumner, Illinois; and sister, Barbara (Jeff) White Riker of Washington.

During his lifetime, Butch mourned the loss of his parents, Austin and Beulah White; and grandson, Austin Hosier.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Butch's name to the Free Methodist Church, 1155 Troy Road, Washington, Indiana 47501.

Visitation for Butch White will be 4:00-8:00 pm, Sunday, October 6, 2024, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana.

Visitation for Butch White will continue on Monday, October 7, 2024, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, at the Free Methodist Church, 1155 Troy Road in Washington.

Funeral services for Butch White will immediately follow the visitation on Monday, October 7, 2024, and begin at 1:00 pm, also at the Free Methodist Church. Pastor Adam Condor will officiate.

Burial will be in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery. The Washington American Legion will accord military honors at the gravesite.
