Louis A. Butler

Louis A. Butler, 61, passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 3, 2024. He was born in Washington on April 14, 1963, to Joseph Michael and Audrey (Bartesko) Butler. On October 19, 1991, he married Debra (Wininger) Butler and she survives.

After high school, Louis attended college and studied environmental conservation. He was retired from General Rental where he had worked in the maintenance department. Louis loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter; he also enjoyed woodworking.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge and was of the Catholic faith.

Those who now mourn Louis' passing include his wife of thirty-two years, Debra Butler; sons: Scott (Dana) Butler of Washington, Dakota (Cheyanne) Butler of Westphalia, and Ryan (Lee Heisler) of Vincennes. Louis was blessed with two grandchildren: Landon and Ryton Butler. Additionally, he leaves three sisters: Marie (Michael) Smith of Winslow, Sandra Hilgeman of Otwell, and Lisa Small of Vincennes.

During his lifetime, Louis mourned the loss of his parents, Joseph and Audrey Butler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Louis' name can be made to the One Time Hunting Club.

The family is planning a memorial gathering at a later date.
