Kristi L. Melton, 54, passed away on Friday August 16, 2024 in Hiawatha, Iowa. She will be laid to rest in Chesterton, IN at Chesterton Cemetery. Kristi
was born on May 23, 1970 in Pensacola, FL to David Jenks and Sandy (Jenson Jenks Melton Smulders).
Kristi graduated from Portage High School In 1988. She received her Masters Degree and became a Dental Implant Consultant for Astrotech/Dentsply.
Kristi is survived by her fiancé Michael Corcoran, father David (Jan) Jenks, brother David (Lu) Melton, nieces and nephews: Bret Melton, Ali Melton, Nicole
Melton, Adam Melton, aunt Lulu (Terry) Rehder, and cousins. Preceded in death by her mother Sandy Smulders, father Gerry Melton, grandparents, aunt Lonnie, uncle Larry.
Kristi truly lived her life to the fullest. She was strong, dedicated, a fun loving person who had a heart of gold. She was extremely outgoing, enjoyed dancing, 80's music, shopping and loved pets. Kristi treasured spending time with her family and friends. Her beautiful smile always lit up a room. Kristi is a beloved daughter, niece, sister, aunt and friend, who will be deeply missed
by all who knew and loved her.
