In loving memory of

Betty Jean Marianetti
(September 27, 1942 - July 12, 2024)

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dearly loved Betty Jean. In harmony with how she lived her life, Betty left this earth while in the beauty of nature upon a scenic hilltop in the south of Spain, there on a silent yoga retreat.

The daughter of Isabelle and Fred Barricelli, Betty grew up a strong-willed and independent free thinker. A graduate of Nazareth Academy, she also attended Rochester Institute of Technology, where she studied medical technology. After her children 'left the nest', Betty returned to further her growth and went on to earn a bachelor of fine arts degree from Madonna University in Livonia Michigan.

Betty cherished the natural world, meditating outdoors daily, taking hikes with friends, loved ones or in solitude, and photographing its beauty and splendor. She was also an avid artist, often taking those photographed scenes and transferring them to canvas with the stroke of her brush. In addition, she took her artistic talents to wood and stone, sculpting many beautiful pieces. Betty was also a yoga instructor, and found joy in sharing her love of 'the mat' and mindfulness, with others.

In balance with her personal passion for the arts, mindfulness and the natural world, family and friendship were vital to Betty. She loved bringing people together at gatherings, not only feeding their bellies but their souls as well. Betty is survived by her loving husband of nearly 62 years, Ronald Marianetti, children, Ronald Marianetti II, Julie (John) Erbe and Melissa (Rick) Nash, brother Fred Barricelli, grandchildren Mitchell (Samantha) Erbe, Drew Erbe, Emma Nash, Alex Marianetti, Will Nash and Maggie Nash.

In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Friends of Snow Canyon (friendsofsnowcanyon.org), a wonderous natural place very dear to Betty's heart.
A Celebration of Life in her honor will take place at Lakefront Lodge (Webster Park) July 29th at 1:00 PM. The lodge is located on Lake Rd immediately across from Holt Rd in the town of Webster. Those in attendance, and who wish to do so, should feel free to dress in joyful attire as we celebrate the life of a beautiful soul. Betty would surely approve!

Rest peacefully, Betty Jean. You left this world a far better place through your love, kindness, wisdom and strength, and we're blessed to have been touched by your luminous spirit.

I stayed with her classes over the years always looking forward to her Summer mini sessions. I will miss her friendly gentle manner. A good soul. My sincere condolences to Betty Jean's family. "My father just contacted me with this devastating news . Mrs Marianetti was like a second mom to me during my childhood. Melissa and I were attached at the hip and Betty always welcomed me with open arms. I will never forget her amazing homemade meals, holistic remedies before they were ?cool?, and assisting Melissa and I with whatever hijinks we were getting into. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Even though this is heart-breaking, it brings comfort to me that there is now another angel watching over and protecting all of us. God bless you Mrs. Marianetti God speed ??"
