Rick Joe Gaudineer, age 74 of Des Moines passed away on May 29, 2024 after a long battle with Kidney Disease. He was born on August 11, 1950, in Des Moines, Iowa.
Rick grew up in the Highland Park area and attended North High School. He liked to stay busy and could build or fix anything. He was a gifted story teller and loved to meet new people. To him everyone was a friend. He enjoyed watching all types of auto racing and even did a little racing himself in his younger years. Rick loved the outdoors and spending time in his garage. He raised his children to be tough and independent, they continue to cherish these lessons he instilled upon them to this day.
He is survived by his daughters; Melissa (Russell) Tobias of Chesterton, IN and Marcella (Mark Linford) Hokanson of Polk City, Son; Joe (Kelly) Gaudineer of Des Moines. Grandson; Jacob (Cassie) Hokanson, Great Grandson; Maverick. Sister; Kym (Brian) Quinlan of Huxley and several nieces and nephews. Rick precedes in death by his father; Irving Gaudineer, Mother; Darlene Gaudineer-McBride, Brothers; Randy, Mike and David Gaudineer.
