Remembering Ken

Ken was born and raised by his parents Robert and Eleanor Henn and was the oldest of 4 children. He grew up on the westside of Rochester in an area known as Dutchtown. Ken attended Holy Family Elementary School and continued on to Edison Career & Technology High School. After he graduated, his Uncle Dick introduced him to the sheet metal industry. Ken joined the Sheet Metal Workers' Local Union 46 in 1967 where he was an active member for 57 years. He began his apprenticeship at Schneider Sheet Metal and spent most of his working years at O'Grady McCormick Mechanical Contractors Inc. where he retired from.

Ken married Donna Weissinger in 1971. After getting married they lived on Avery St. in the city of Rochester. A year later they built their first house together where they raised their 2 sons, Eric and Jason.Throughout 53 years of marriage, they created many beautiful memories.

Ken enjoyed fishing since he was a young boy and continued his love for the sport by sharing his passion with his sons, godson Mark and grandchildren. Ken would never miss a sporting event for his grandkids and loved spending time with them at home playing cards and snacking on "mixed-a-bags".

Donna never would let the rust grow on Ken. They were always on the go and took many adventures. Whether it be a day trip to a winery or several weeks in Florida they enjoyed meeting new people and cherished all their lifetime friendships.

Ken enjoyed every moment to the last. Raise a glass and cheer to Ken!
