In loving memory of

Robert Brice
September 24, 1949 - March 27, 2024

Robert "Bob" Brice, 74, passed away peacefully after an extended illness on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at home with his family in Urbandale, Iowa. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 20 at 10:00 a.m.at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 1200 S. Warrior Lane, Waukee, IA. A gathering of friends and family will follow the Mass.

Bob was born in Boone, Iowa, to James and Edna (Dailey) Brice, the sixth of seven children. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Boone. He enlisted in the National Guard and attended Des Moines Area Community College. He retired in 2020 after a career in sales. He married Linda Beal in August 1989, at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Ankeny, Iowa.

Bob's mission in life was to make us all laugh and to collect music albums and CDs. He recently told his sister that he had found all the music he ever wanted. Bob made friends everywhere he went. He was a great story and joke teller and loved to tease his grandchildren and the neighbor kids. He was very close to all his siblings and nieces and nephews. There were wonderful times having beers with neighbors on the front porch and having coffee with the "car wash guys". He had many friends from Boone and tried hard to keep in touch with all of them, even when he wasn't feeling good. We will all miss him so much.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Patrick Brice, sister Alice Lowe, brother Ed Brice and nephew Michael Bechtel. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 34 years, Linda, daughter and son-in-law Nichole and Jerry Bussanmas of West Des Moines, son Jeremiah Beal of Breckenridge, CO, sister Patricia Brice of Des Moines, IA, brothers Earl "Hap" (Susan) of Hutchinson, MN, Don (Gale) of Ames, IA , Tom of Coralville, IA, and sister-in-law Charlene of Boone, IA, and many nieces and nephews. Bob dearly loved his grandchildren, Nick (Kelsey) Bussanmas, Jordan (Nick) Woodard, Faith, Georgia and Holden Beal, Elle, Parks and Jae Bussanmas and his five great-grandchildren Breck, June and Sly Bussanmas and Lucy and Jack Woodard.
We are so sad he won't be here to hold his great granddaughter who is coming in May but are sure he will be watching over us when she arrives.

"I remember walking with Bob at my brother Kevin Pearson\'s wedding. He was always so much fun. An incredble sense of humor. He must have heaven roaring with laughter already! "

"Linda, we are also heartbroken, such a great friend and brother-in-law. He was the first one to give you a compliment or to tease you! There are way too many memories to list just one. I really hope in the words of Bob Brice that he made it to Heaven at least a half hour before the Devil knew he was dead! I already miss him. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers ?????"
