Greece NY: Alberta Louise VanGraafeiland passed away peacefully on March 21, 2024 at age 93. Predeceased by her husband Robert VanGraafeiland; parents Ralph & Marion Haight; sister Rose Bozzard; brother Stephen Haight. Alberta is survived by her daughter Cynthia (Rex) Rush; son Paul (Debra) VanGraafeiland; grandchildren Holly D'Angelo, Dawn (Dan) Coistek, Michael (Julie Kwilos) Rush, Nathan (Elinore) VanGraafeiland, Joy (Reed) Phillips & David (Marilyn) VanGraafeiland; 9 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and friends.
Alberta had many joys in life, her love of gardening, crocheting, quilting, and traveling were just a few of the many she enjoyed. Her all-time favorite was spending time with her family. She was active in the Greece Ecumenical Food Bank, and her church for many years, serving on the board as well as teaching Sunday School. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 28 from 4-7 PM at the funeral home 1411 Vintage Lane. Alberta's funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 AM at Park Ridge Free Methodist Church, 10 Straub Road 14626. Entombment Riverside Cemetery. Rochester NY
